River Pools Fiberglass M Series
If you have ever researched inground pools you have probably heard of fiberglass swimming pools. In the world of inground pools, fiberglass is the baby. They were first developed in the 50s, but have really come to prominence in the 21st century. Like any pool, there are dozens of manufacturers and pool types to check out when researching. That is why we at Royal Pools and G2 Landscaping have started a series dedicated to reviewing fiberglass pools.
River Pools has been manufacturing and selling fiberglass swimming pools since 2001 and has a variety of pool lines to choose from. 11 lines of pool designs in fact (a lot to choose from!) and we’re going to review all of them in this series. Today we’re going to take a look at their M series of rectangular pools.
Available Sizes for M Series
The M Series comes in three different sizes:
- 10’ x 25’
- Holds 5,322 gallons of water.
- Depth of 3’8” – 5’2”
- 12’ x 30’
- Holds 10,600 gallons of water.
- Depth of 3’8” – 5’6”
- 14’ x 35’
- Holds 12,000 gallons of water.
- Depth of 3’8” – 5’10”
Features of M Series
The River Pools M Series is one of their sleekest modern designs, with really visually sharp stairs and a square tanning ledge. Fiberglass pools aren’t customizable like vinyl liners and gunite pools. You can really go crazy with a custom design with those, but with fiberglass pools being constructed in specialized factories, you will have to choose a design that the manufacturer offers. For this reason, modern fiberglass designs like the M Series give your backyard a unique, stunning look.
The larger tanning ledge may take away some swim space, but luckily the M Series is offered in three sizes that give you some optionality for swim space. Overall features of the M Series include:
- Deep end
- Tanning ledge
- Easy access steps
- Deep end bench
- Non-slip pool floor
When making any purchase decision, you should always weigh the pros and cons of the product. We already talked about the limited swimming space due to the tanning ledge, but the pros and cons of the M Series are a little longer.
Pros of M Series:
- Tanning ledge
- Non-slip surface
- Ease of maintenance
- Easy to install an automatic cover
- Available in multiple colors
Cons of M Series:
- Limited swim space depending on size
- Only one entrance
- No customizability
Our overall estimation is that the M series is a solid pool, but lacks some of the aesthetic appeal and swim space of some of River Pools’ other designs. We give the M Series a B+.
The M Series is perfect for a smaller family or a family that doesn’t need a lot of swimwear. But we’re willing to bet that the tanning ledge will still be extremely appealing to a lot of folks. I mean who doesn’t want to be able to tan in their pool, right? Thanks for checking out this fiberglass pool review.
