Resonance Series Fiberglass Pools from River Pools: A Review

Finding the perfect pool to fit your and your family’s needs can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Some families just want a pool, some want a full outdoor oasis in their backyards. Whichever category you fall into, you should be educated about the product you’re going to buy.

That is why we have started a series of fiberglass pool reviews. We have been installing fiberglass pools for over 24 years at Royal Pools and G2 Outdoor Designs. There are a lot of benefits that come with going with a fiberglass pool like ease of maintenance and minimal chemical spending. Manufacturers like River Pools have spent years trying to make fiberglass pools the perfect product, and their lineup of pools is a testament to that hard work.

River Pools has five unique lines of fiberglass swimming pools to choose from. We’ve reviewed several of them, as well as their single-sized pools, on our website before. Today we’re going to review the Resonance series and talk about the functionality of the product line as well as some pros and cons to help you determine if it might be the right pool for you.

Features and Functionality

The R series is a versatile pool. If you have a small backyard but want to get the biggest pool possible, there are three options under 30 feet long, and vice versa. The size optionality means it can function as either a social pool, a pool for laps and wide-open swimming, or both. The ease of maintenance inherent with fiberglass pools as well as the non-slip steps and surface make any Resonance pool fairly worry-free. Regardless of the size you go with, you’re guaranteed a few things with a Resonance pool.

  • Shallow end bench
  • Deep end bench(es)
  • Wide open swim space
  • Non-slip stairs and floor
  • 6+ feet deep end in three sizes

One drawback of going with a fiberglass pool as opposed to a concrete or vinyl liner pool is the lack of customizability and the fact that fiberglass pools generally don’t have spacious deep ends. The designs River offers are the only type of pool you can get from them. With all this in mind, what are some of the overall pros and cons of the Resonance series?

Pros

  • Multiple size options
  • Versatility
  • Generous seating
  • Non-slip surface
  • Multiple color options
  • Ease of maintenance

Cons

  • Small deep-end
  • Not customizable
  • Hight cost inherent in fiberglass pools

The Resonance series is one of the premium lines offered by River Pools. The versatility that comes with the multiple sizes makes it perfect for any backyard and family. The functionality and durability of fiberglass pools diminish the few drawbacks of this pool. We give the Resonance series an A, tied with the T40 as our top-rated River Pool.
