The Aspen By Thursday Pools: Review
One of our manufacturers here at Royal Pools and More is Thursday Pools. They are one of the most well-known fiberglass pool manufacturers in the country and have a wide assortment of fiberglass pools!
They manufacture both rectangular and shaped fiberglass pools which have their own unique features, leaving you with many different options to consider.
In this article, we’re going to provide an overview of the Aspen fiberglass pool, a rectangular fiberglass pool that comes in three different sizes:
- 14’ (Width) x 35’ (Length) x 3’4” graduated to 5’6” (Depth)
- 16’ (Width) x 35’ (Length) x 3’4” graduated to 5’6” (Depth)
- 16’ (Width) x 40’ (Length) x 3’4” graduated to 5’10” (Depth)
The Aspen also has some structural features that create a sleek and luxurious look—which we’ll get to in just a bit!
But first, let’s get into the actual design of the pool!
Structural Design
Regardless of size, the Aspen has the same structural features and design as show below:
Starting at the entrance of the pool, there is a curved tanning ledge that allows you to enjoy the pool without having to submerge yourself in the swimming area. The tanning ledge extends the full width of the pool and also has steps that follow the same curvature which lead down into the shallow end of the pool.
Additionally, there are two corner entrances al the shallow end that lead to the tanning ledge as well as two more at the deep end of the pool.
Moving on to the swimming area, the shallow end begins at a depth of 3’4” in all 3 sizes. From this point, the pool slopes down into the deep end and graduates to a depth of 5’6” in the 14’ x 35” and the 16’ x 35”, and 5’10” in the 16’ x 40”.
The final structural feature is a safety ledge that is located on both sides of the pool. This just gives a heightened sense of safety and security for those inexperienced swimmers who want to venture into the deep end!
Water Features
There are multiple water features that you have the option of including with this pool whether it be bubblers (Image Below) deck jets, laminars or even a wall fountain.
The most popular feature due to the tanning ledge would be to choose the bubblers in your pool. Two or more of them can be installed on the tanning ledge in any location. They receive water from the filter system and shoot it up a few inches above the normal water level, which really just enhances the aesthetic of the pool.
Auto Cover Readiness
One of the other great things about the Aspen is that it is auto cover ready! Its rectangular shape is perfect for an auto cover as opposed to a shape pool as it can cover the entire area of the pool, proving especially effective for those summertime thunderstorms that we’re used to here in the Midwest.
Is the Aspen Right for You?
Well, now you know what the Aspen by Thursday Pools has to offer. The next question is: Is the Aspen the right pool for you?
It has that luxurious look, but finding the right pool goes well beyond that.
Is the pool deep enough or too deep? Is the tanning ledge an important feature to you? Is the auto cover readiness essential for your needs? Is there enough seating to accommodate everyone? Is a fiberglass pool even the right type of pool for you?
These are all questions that you need to answer to find the perfect pool for you, and hopefully we’ve put you on the right path to accomplishing that! If you’d like to learn more about fiberglass pools, please visit some of the pages listed below!
