Best Pool Store & Landscaping Company: NWI Times Best of the Region 2026

Driving down the busy streets of Northwest Indiana, AKA the Region, you notice some things. Lots of cornfields, for sure, schools and churches, suburban development, the old steel mills propped up against Lake Michigan (drive along Lake Michigan and you can even see the beautiful Chicago skyline)… but nothing is more prevalent than the local businesses that keep our community afloat. 

Every year, the Times of Northwest Indiana honors these businesses with the “Best of the Region” awards, shining a light on the very heart of our community here in Northwest Indiana.

What is the NWI Times Best of the Region Award?

The NWI Times is the second-largest Indiana-based newspaper, behind The Indianapolis Star, covering news out of the Region and the Chicago suburbs.

Every winter at the beginning of the year, the Northwest Indiana Times opens voting polls for readers and citizens to vote for their favorite businesses as the Best of the Region.

From restaurants to casinos, from dental centers to law firms, and everything in between, Best of the Region recognizes all the incredible businesses you’ll find throughout Northwest Indiana.

On behalf of Royal Pools G2 Landscaping management, we are pleased to announce that we are the recipients of two 2026 NWI Times Best of the Region awards, including:

Where do we even begin? We’d first like to extend thanks to the Northwest Indiana Times for cultivating consistent recognition for so many small, family-owned businesses, like RPG2. 

When RPG2 first entered the Best of the Region race in 2025, winning “best pool store” was the goal, even if it seemed to be a difficult one. Upon learning that we did, in fact, win best pool store and second best landscaping company, the coveted Best of the Region recognition became our white whale. 

Best of the Region is more than just an award–it’s a celebration of the businesses and hard workers that make Northwest Indiana so special. From the bottom of all of our hearts… thank you.
